Cash in on tribute act’s enormous talent

BE PREPARED to Walk The Line as Clive John and The Spirit Band make their return to Woking with The Johnny Cash Roadshow this month.

The hit-packed show features all the classics from the Man in Black, starting from his early 1950s hits right up to his last, with a backdrop of images and film clips from his lifetime.

Formed in 2006, Clive John and The Spirit Band have become the UK’s No1 Cash tribute act, so this is a show not to be missed for avid fans of the man himself.

Expect to hear the tracks from the San Quentin and Folsom Prison concerts, including Ring of Fire, Boy Named Sue, Folsom Prison Blues and Man in Black.

Also on the set-list is the haunting and emotional cover of the Nine Inch Nails song Hurt, which Cash recorded only months before his death in September 2003. A film of his life, entitled Walk the Line, was nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars in 2005. Cash remains one of the few artists to sell over 90 million records.

lThe Johnny Cash Roadshow will be at the New Victoria Theatre on Friday 22 January, at 7.30pm.
