Health authority’s vital teams

AS WELL as the doctors, nurses and administration staff, a health authority’s transport team have long been vital to ensure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

In a previous Peeps feature, reader Ron Sims, who worked for the then North West Surrey District of the Surrey Area Health Authority, recalled his memories of Woking’s Victoria Cottage Hospital when he was a member of its transport department.

Now Ron has kindly allowed his good friend, correspondent David Rose, to show more of his photographs taken after he started work in 1973 before retiring in the early 2000s.
