Woking honours armed forces

WOKING residents gathered in Jubilee Square in bright sunshine for annual armed forces and veterans day parade held by the town branch of the Royal Naval Association.

The parade through the town centre was led by the band of the Surrey Army Cadets Corp of Drums.

It mustered outside the HG Wells Conference centre and marched into Jubilee square with  11 standards, including two national standards of the Merchant Navy and the Merchant Navy college Greenwich. There were also standards of local Veteran associations.
