Observed from above

FOR some months my home has been observed from on high. Red lights in the sky have shown the point of observation.  I was reminded of the opening lines of The War of the Worlds – to paraphrase: No one would have believed that this world was being watched keenly and closely… The red lights have now vanished; hidden by the dense foliage on the trees between my home and the high cranes topped with red warning lights at work on the “yet another new town centre” in Woking.
