Taxi boss challenges new test for cabbies

NEW rules requiring all taxi and private hire drivers in Woking to achieve an industry qualification are being challenged by the owner of a chauffeur car company.

Ed Halil says it is unfair to ask existing drivers to pass a BTEC test, as it will do nothing to improve their service levels, while making them lose money while doing the training
