A padel court has been proposed for part of the site of Woking and Horsell Cricket Club according to a planning application submitted to Woking Borough Council.

The application reads: PLAN/2026/0596: Provision of new padel court with canopy over and associated floodlights, relocation of cricket nets, replacement of access gates on Arthurs Bridge Road frontage and new pedestrian gate. Woking and Horsell Cricket Club, Horsell Moor, Horsell.

A submission in support of the application reads: “It is proposed to position the covered padel court and relocated cricket nets in the southwest corner of the cricket club on land adjacent to the squash club building.

“There would be no changes to the existing cricket (and football) pitch as a result of the development. “The new padel court would be operated by EzeePadel Woking who would lease the land from the cricket club.”
