With autumn beginning, thoughts are turning towards pantomime season at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford.

This year’s production will be Sleeping Beauty, starring EastEnders and Detectorists favourite Lucy Benjamin as the villainous Maleficent.

Local radio disc jockey Peter Gordon will return for his 21st Arnaud panto as dame Queen Maybeline of Guildfordia.

Ricky Oakley will be the Prince, Misha Malcolm will be Fairy Flossie and Tom Miller - last year’s understudy dame - will be Hickory.

Further casting is still to be announced and the main cast will be joined by an all-singing, all-dancing ensemble of final year local drama school students and recent graduates.

The show will be packed with dazzling costumes, spectacular songs, show-stopping dancing and magic.
