Botti said her next target looks likely to be the Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket on September 26.

Despite being slowly away, Applesandpears caused a surprise in the Class 2 fillies handicap over 1m at 25-1, with the three-year-old charging home to deny TrueTest by a neck.

Julie Camacho completed an across the card double after Grasmere Boy scored at Thirsk, with Havana Blue taking the 6f handicap by three-quarters of a length under Ryan Sexton.

The acquisition of Maelstrom from the Haggas yard looks good business as the gelding backed up victory at Newmarket two weeks ago with a narrow neck victory from Dyonisos for the Stuart Williams yard.
