4×4 drivers help patients

VOLUNTEERS whose vehicles can tackle the worst kind of weather turned out to take community nurses to their patients last week. Members of Surrey 4×4 Response drove clinical specialists from Woking & Sam Beare Hospices through the snow on home visits.

Their ability to easily travel on the icy roads enabled the hospice team to reach its most in-need patients. Surrey 4×4 Response is a registered charity formed of trained and vetted 4×4 owners who give their time and use of their vehicles to the emergency services during bad weather.
