Woking Borough Council Election Turnout

JUST over one third of Woking residents cast their vote in yesterday’s ‘all-out’ borough election, with the official figure given as 38.58%.

That number is significantly lower (down 56%) than last May’s bumper showing of 38,926 (68.48% of the electorate).

Horsell residents turned out in the biggest number of all 10 wards for yesterday’s poll; 44% of the village casting their vote. Pyrford scored the second highest footfall (43%), while just over a third (35%) of Knaphill locals put pen to paper, making them the ward with the lowest electorate turnout figures.








Full turnout per ward as follows:

Byfleet & West Byfleet: 40%

Canalside: 38%

Goldsworth Park: 36%

Heathlands: 39%

Hoe Valley: 37%

Horsell: 44%

Knaphill: 35%

Mount Hermon: 38%

Pyrford: 43%

St John’s: 36%.
