There were sad scenes outside a shopping centre in Woking on Thursday as a rotten tree was sadly felled.

Expert workers cut up the tree at Goldsworth Park Shopping Centre around lunchtime with work taking much of the afternoon.

Notices had been in place for a while with work confirming the tree was in a poor state with its trunk being hollow in parts.
