RESIDENTS of a quiet Maybury road got a shock when a stolen vehicle crashed through their front garden wall.

The Land Rover Discovery was being chased by a police armed response unit when the driver lost control in Balmoral Drive and demolished part of the wall.

“I was upstairs at the time and heard a bang, then police sirens very soon after,” a resident told the News & Mail.
