A coach driver is being questioned following a serious collision near Woking that left a cyclist needing hospital treatment.

Police are appealing for witnesses following an accident involving a coach and cyclist in Jacobs Well this morning (Tuesday, August 25).

The cyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital following the collision around 9.44am on Woking Road with road closures being put in place.

The coach was later stopped at Heathrow Airport with the driver, a man in his 40s, helping police with their investigation. Officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the Woking Road area around 9.15am and 9.35am.

A spokesperson said: “We are asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or who may have CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident, to get in touch.”
