Westfield produced a superb performance to win 4-0 at home to Egham Town in the Isthmian League South Central Division on Bank Holiday Monday.

Goals from Sam Folarin (2), George Hedley and Kameron English fired the Field to a comprehensive victory in front of a crowd of 171 at Woking Park.

The Field took the lead in the 31st minute when Folarin received the ball on the right-hand side of the pitch, turned and unleashed a fierce effort from just outside the box past Egham keeper Aaron Watkins.

Folarin scored his second of the afternoon and doubled Westfield’s advantage eight minutes later. James Roberts played the pull across to Folarin, who glided through the Egham half before producing a sublime chip over Watkins to make it 2-0.

The hosts went 3-0 up on 78 minutes when they scored from a corner after Jack Knight had done well down the right-hand side to win the set piece. The ball came into the box and found the head of Westfield captain Caleb Wright, whose header on target bounced off Watkins before Hedley turned in the loose ball.

Westfield wrapped up an excellent afternoon with their fourth goal four minutes later. David Diaz got down the right-hand side, and although his pass along the box was cleared, Manolis Gogonas won the loose ball and drove into the box before putting it across goal for English to finish.

Monday’s emphatic win followed a narrow 2-1 defeat for Westfield at home to Egham Town in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy on Saturday.

The visitors took the lead in the 58th minute through Toby Nelson, and doubled their advantage in stoppage time through Jordi Ebanda’s penalty.

Westfield pulled a goal back when Caleb Wright headed the ball back across goal for George Hedley to slot home.
