WHILE cheers and applause are often heard echoing around Chobham’s rugby ground, completely different sounds will be coming from the pitch on an evening in August.

It will be the venue for an open-air cinema event at which the audience is positively encouraged to make some noise. The occasion is the screening of the sing-a-long version of Grease, the classic musical starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, to raise money for the Woking & Sam Beare Hospices charity.

“We promise lots of fun for everyone, on the evening there will be lot of food stalls and fancy dress is very welcome,” said the charity’s community fundraising manager, Alice Windsor.
