The musical The Choir Of Man is coming to the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre in Guildford from September 22 to 26.

Set in on-stage pub The Jungle, The Choir Of Man sees nine ordinary guys combine beautiful harmonies and foot-stomping singalongs with world-class tap dance and soulful storytelling.

Featuring hits from artists including Queen, Luther Vandross, Sia, Paul Simon, Adele, Guns & Roses, Avicii and Katy Perry, this uplifting celebration of community and friendship offers something for everyone - including free beer!

The cast features Gustav Melbardis as Maestro, Oluwalonimi Owoyemi as Poet, Levi Tyrell Johnson as Hard Man, Ben Mabberley as Joker, Rob Godfrey as Beast, Jack Skelton as Handyman, Joshua Lloyd as Barman, Sam Walter as Romantic and Aaron Pottenger as Bore, with Sam Ebenezer, Jared Leathwood, Niall Woodson and Lewis Dragisic as Swings.

The Jungle Choir Community Project will see a local choir in Guildford chosen to attend the opening night and take part in the final moments of the show.

Co-creator and director Nic Doodson said: “The Choir of Man has always been about individuality, generosity, humour and the joy of making music together, and this company embodies all of that.

“As we take the show around the UK and Ireland for the very first time, it felt vital to open the doors even wider and invite local choirs to quite literally raise their voices with us.

“Every city has its own musical heartbeat, and welcoming those voices into the show on press night is a powerful reminder of why this piece exists: to celebrate community, connection and the extraordinary feeling of singing together.”

The Choir Of Man is created by Nic Doodson and Andrew Kay. The team also includes Jack Blume, Freddie Huddleston, Ben Norris, Oli Townsend, Richard Dinnen, Verity Sadler, Sten Severson and Debbie O’Brien.
