On June 17, 2025, an article published on the websites of the Farnham Herald, Alton Herald, Haslemere Herald, Liphook Herald, and Woking News and Mail incorrectly stated that Mr Kai Chun Chan was convicted of drink driving following a serious accident.

This was inaccurate. Mr Chan was convicted of dangerous driving, not drink driving.

We apologise unreservedly to Mr Chan for the error. The inaccuracy was the result of incorrect information provided by Surrey Police.
