Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of an assault at Alpha Road Recreation Ground, Maybury.

The incident took place at an event held on Sunday, 12 July, at around 2pm, when an altercation occurred between a group of teenage girls. During the incident, one girl was reportedly hit and pulled to the ground.

Investigating officer PC Josh Whittall said: "We have been carrying out enquiries since this incident was reported, including efforts to identify potential witnesses.

"We are now appealing to the public as we work to establish the full circumstances leading to and during the reported incident. Our investigation remains ongoing."
