Woking have signed midfielder Steven Turner on a season-long loan from Premier League outfit Ipswich Town.

The young midfielder returns to the Laithwaite Community Stadium for the 2026-27 campaign after impressing during a previous spell with the Cardinals in April, and will continue his development with first-team experience.

Turner arrives at the Cards having spent pre-season training with Ipswich Town’s first team and joins Woking eager to build on his previous performances and make a positive impact throughout the season.

“I’m delighted to be back,” said Turner.

“I really enjoyed my time here in April and it was clear straight away what a great club this is.

“After speaking with the staff, I knew this was the right place for me to continue my development and get regular first-team football.

“I’m looking forward to getting started, meeting the lads, and doing everything I can to help the team have a successful season.”

Woking director of football Jody Brown said: “We’d always hoped to bring Steven back after he impressed back in April. Of course, that was dependent on Ipswich Town.

“He’s spent pre-season with their first team, but the dialogue never stopped. We are really pleased to have him here for the season.”
