THE ever-popular Pyrford & Wisley Flower Show showed that it is still ‘growing’ strong on Saturday – rewarding green-fingered gurus for their mastery of seed, sapling and shrub.

The fun in the summer sun – draped in a ‘Round the World in 80 Days’ theme – featured a truly colourful costume parade; a procession of Flower Show 'Royals', and traditional fairground stalls and games, including a dunk tank and tasty sweet shop.

The 'Royals' in question were: Princess Chloe Godwin, Prince Scott Jarvis, and Royal Attendants Will Aldridge and Rachel Haighton-Williams.

Handing out prizes on the day was Mayor Derek McCrum, who was joined in his duties by wife Rosemary.

Deserving winners included Rosie Nightingale, Gemma Robbins, Benjamin Broadhead, Genevieve Cassidy, and a team from Round and Round the Garden Childcare.

The show, held in Pyrford, has been running for 68 years.
