Premises at 120B Oyster Lane, Byfleet, may be in line for a change of use, according to a planning application submitted to Woking Borough Council.
PLAN/2026/0542 seeks a “Change of use from B8 storage and distribution with ancillary trade counter to flexible multiple/mixed use encompassing Use Class E(d) indoor recreation, Use Class E(g)(i) offices and Use Class B8 storage/distribution (with trade counter).”
The planning statement notes “mixed-use occupation comprising: 156 sqm of office accommodation utilising the front portion of the building and mezzanine; and 475 sqm of the ground floor as indoor sport/recreation (specifically for cheerleader training and practice).
“The proposed office use would be occupied and operated by an engineering company separate from the cheerleading business. The cheerleading element would operate as an indoor training centre ... providing facilities for cheerleading training and associated recreational activities.”
