RECORDING artist, actress, songwriter and author Michelle Gayle will bring Sweetness to Surrey this Christmas as Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre announces she is set to star as the Fairy Godmother in their magical family pantomime, Cinderella from 7 December 2018 to 6 January 2019.
Michelle was Fiona Wilson in the BBC TV series Grange Hill before becoming playing Hattie Tavernier in EastEnders for five years.
A successful music career followed, with two Top-40 UK solo albums, including the hit singles Sweetness and Do You Know, and three BRIT Award nominations.
Michelle has since played Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in the West End and she is currently on a UK tour with the show Son of a Preacher Man.
Michelle also starred as Imara in the CBBC fantasy drama Wolfblood and has published four novels for young adults.
In recent years fans have enjoyed seeing Michelle take on the Channel 4 reality show The Games, competing against other celebrities in a series of sports events, and as a panelist on ITV's topical chat show Loose Women and Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff.
