BROOKLANDS Motor and Aviation Museum made way for a less than typical display on Sunday when the clubhouse played host to a wedding fair.

It turned out to be a marriage made in heaven when the doors to the event, organised by Maxine and Andrew Cole of Crystal Blush Events & Chair Cover Dreams, opened to welcome the 150 or so visitors. At least 90 of these were excited blushing brides-to-be, with friends, family and grooms-to-be following in tow.

Mariam Swainsbury, Tiggy Sowell and Lucy Wallace of the Brooklands Events Team welcomed visitors with a smile and a glass of sparkle as they entered.
Fizz in hand, various groups and couples filled the aisles of the venue to take a relaxing mooch around the 23 stands to see what was on offer.

The main attraction of such an event is that it contains everything a bride – or groom – to-be could wish for all under one roof. From rings, dresses, cakes, flowers and decor, to venues, hair, beauty, photography and entertainment, nothing had been left to chance.

Maxine said: “We had a pre-registration system to give us some idea of how many people to expect but we could never be sure because the forecast had been bad and no one knew what the weather was going to bring. However, we were really lucky on the day.
“It was a very good show and we didn’t expect so many visitors. Some of them even booked on the day and they were very happy.”
