WOKING & Sam Beare Hospices’ Dove Ball took on a 1920s theme as Wentworth Golf Club was transformed into the Cotton Club on Saturday.

After a Champagne reception, more than 200 guests enjoyed a four-course meal while TV presenter and journalist Dominic Littlewood hosted the evening superbly.

Entertainment included Impact Dance Group – who taught guests the Charleston – top burlesque dancer Polly Rae, and the band Blues Brother International.

Guests also enjoyed the opportunity of being photographed in a Chicago-style gangster car.

A live auction included unique Willy Wonka memorabilia, with some lots raising more than £1,000.

Head of Income Generation at the hospices, David Jenkins, said: “We were delighted to invite more than 200 of our supporters to Wentworth for our annual Dove Ball, 1920s style – this is a key event in our calendar and we are incredibly grateful to our sponsors and guests.

“It is a great way to kick off the run-up to Christmas and generates really valuable income at a time when there is always extra pressure on finances.

“So a big thank you to everyone who contributed so generously on the night.”

THE evening was designed and organised by WKM Productions, and pictures from the night are available for purchase online at www.wkmproductions.co.uk.
