Magistrates at a Surrey court have handed three points to a learner driver from Woking who was caught riding a motorbike on Britain’s busiest motorway.

Nicoleta Serban decided to take a Yamaha for a spin on the M25 on January 31 despite only having a provisional licence.

The 38-year-old of The Broadway appeared before Guildford Magistrates Court on Friday, August 21, having been caught by police near Cherstey.

Serban, who pleaded guilty to driving on a motorway without the correct licence, was fined £369 and handed three penalty points for the offence.

The defendant was also ordered to pay £130 costs and a £148 surcharge with his early guilty plea being taken into account by magistrates.
