THE night sky was ablaze with colour on Saturday as Woking Round Table lit the fuse to their annual fireworks extravaganza.
With a funfair also on hand to keep youngsters on hand entertained with games, rides and some quite sensational toys, the party exploded into life at Woking Park.
Rockets could be heard, and seen, for miles around, with the air’s winter chill temporarily giving way to waves of warming heat from the bonfire’s amber glow.
One visitor, Hayley Rogers, 24, said: “It definitely provided a decent bang for its buck.”
THE £5,000 raised will be invested by the Round Table back into local good causes.
