Knaphill produced a clinical performance to win 4-1 at home to Corinthian-Casuals in the Combined Counties Premier Division South.

From the opening moments, Knaphill set the tone. Tom Wensley's long throw-ins became an immediate attacking weapon, and within 19 minutes, the hosts had opened the scoring.

A well-worked corner routine saw James Glover flick the ball towards Ross Murdoch, who finished with the composure of a striker in form.

The Knappers doubled their advantage on 30 minutes. Corinthian-Casuals keeper David Wloch came off his line to deal with a through ball and headed it away to Aidan King, who struck his first-time effort into the empty net.

At 2-0 up and in complete control, Knaphill could have cruised. Instead, they maintained their intensity.

Lucas Williams-Fernandez's switch of play on 39 minutes found Murdoch, who showed brilliant footwork to beat his man before dragging his effort just wide.

Corinthian-Casuals offered little in response and struggled to create clear-cut chances in the final third, relying instead on long throws and aggressive pressing.

The third goal arrived on 70 minutes. Lucas Watkins' pinpoint cross from the left flank found Charlie Postance, who rose majestically to head home with ease.

Corinthian-Casuals pulled one back on 77 minutes when George Hockey found space from a set-piece scramble to finish, but the visitors failed to kick on.

The Knappers regained their three-goal advantage in stoppage time when Matt Copland drove forward from midfield and beat his man before calmly putting his finish between Wloch’s legs.
