Residents are invited to join the Mayor of Woking, Cllr Rob Leach, and civic guests in Jubilee Square for a Service of Remembrance on Sunday (8 November).
The service will commence with a parade at 10.35am and conclude with a Two Minute Silence and the laying of wreaths.
During the service, a combined choir of the Woking Ladies Choir and Salvation Army Band will sing hymns and the National Anthem.
After the conclusion of the service, uniformed units and organisations will parade past the Mayor of Woking and members of the civic procession in Church Street East.
A limited number of seats will be available on request for persons wishing to sit during the service.
If you or an organisation wish to lay wreath as part of Remembrance Sunday, you will need to make yourself known to the wreath announcer by 10am.
Organisations wanting to lay a wreath will need to nominate one person who will form part of a separate group under the instruction of the Parade Marshal.
Residents can also support the Royal British Legion and join the Mayor of Woking for a short ceremony, commencing at 10.45am, to observe the national Two Minute Silence to mark Armistice Day at 11am on Wednesday, 11 November, in Jubilee Square.
The Chobham Remembrance commemoration is also on Sunday.
The parade sets off from the village car park at 2.45pm to arrive at St Lawrence Church for the traditional service of commemoration.
It departs to go to the war memorial in High Street at about 3.45pm for the Act of Remembrance – laying of wreaths, the sounding of The Last Post, two minutes’ silence, reveille and the recital of the Kohima Epitaph.
Chobham Carnival Association is again providing marshals for the parade.
