‘FROM Wentworth with Dove’ was the message as a James Bond theme helped Woking & Sam Beare Hospices net £23,000 at the most prestigious event in their calendar.

The charities certainly had A Licence to Thrill at Wentworth Golf Club at the end of last month, raking in thousands thanks to a sparkling reception featuring a red carpet complete with paparazzi and an Aston Martin DB9.

The Ballroom was transformed for a truly stylish and unforgettable evening where guests sat down to enjoy a three-course meal with wine, followed by coffee and confection.

There was plenty to keep everyone entertained throughout the night with live music from Soul and Motown singer JD Fitzgerald, a Bond-themed photobooth, live auction, casino tables and a dancefloor.

Cutting edge magician Tom Silburn also featured, showcasing his sophisticated magic tricks that used everything from cards, coins, bottles and wine glasses to items borrowed from guests.

Events Fundraising Manager Danielle Le Cuirot said: “We were delighted to welcome 150 of our supporters to our Dove Ball. It was a fantastic night and we are really grateful to everyone who contributed so generously to the night to help us raise more than £23,000.

“We’d also like to say thank you to our sponsors, Cheesmans Brothers, RR Elite Ltd and Andrew Boschier Photography.”
