A planning application for four flats in a town centre residential site has been submitted to Woking Borough Council.

PLAN/2026/0609 proposes: “The conversion of the existing ancillary space at ground floor level to create 4 x residential (Class C3) dwellings; private amenity space and other associated works. The Cornerstone, Locke Way, Woking, Surrey.”

A cover letter in support of the application notes that “The application site comprises four ancillary rooms on the ground floor of The Cornerstone, Woking. The rooms have been used as ancillary office and other amenity spaces for residents but they are rarely used. The Cornerstone comprises 94 residential studios.

“The Cornerstone comprises mainly studio units but also includes some two and three-bedroom flats. The provision of four studio units will complement the existing provision and is appropriate for this high density town centre location.”
