Hoe Bridge School in Woking has announced the official opening of its senior school to include Years 9 to 11.

"Our senior school opening is a tremendously exciting moment for the entire Hoe Bridge community," said Chris Webster, headmaster at Hoe Bridge School.

"Being able to offer education from 6 months to 16 years means we can support children and their families throughout their whole school journey, helping every pupil to thrive academically, socially and personally.

“We are proud to complete our Through School offering and look forward to welcoming our first Years 9 to 11 pupils."

The school remains committed to fostering curiosity, confidence, resilience and a lifelong love of learning with state-of-the-art science laboratories and a dedicated GCSE hub. The science labs have been fully refurbished and are proving especially popular with pupils.

The pioneering Year 10 cohort will be the first pupils to complete their GCSE's at Hoe Bridge school in 2028.

Families interested in discovering more about Hoe Bridge Senior School are invited to register online for the upcoming senior open event - taking place on Tuesday, 3 November from 4pm - at www.hoebridgeschool.co.uk.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the new facilities, meet staff and pupils, and experience first-hand the vibrant and welcoming community at Hoe Bridge.

The senior school opened its doors for the first time in September, and the open event gives children outside of Hoe Bridge school a chance to come and visit the state-of-the-art GCSE hub and meet Chris Webster.

There will also be an opportunity to attend a head talk taking place at 4.15pm and 5.15pm.

“We cannot wait to welcome prospective families,” said a spokesperson for the school.
