YOUNG explorers in pursuit of adventure need look no further than Woking Park after the installation of a new play area.

The jungle-themed facility was opened by Woking dignitaries on Saturday, with Mayor Tony Branagan and wife Mary in attendance.

To help kids take a walk on the wild side, face-painters were on hand from 11am to midday to give young explorers an animal makeover and make the opening a roaring success.

Exotic plants and shrubs feature to enhance the jungle experience. And if that’s not enough, there’s even a spot the jungle animal game for younger explorers. The works also include the creation of an additional fenced dog-free picnic area adjacent to the play area.

“Thanks to this investment, we have created an exciting, inclusive and unique play area that will appeal to a wide range of ages and abilities, while providing endless hours of enjoyment to children for years to come.”
