Actor and animal welfare campaigner Peter Egan will open CatFest next month, hosts Byfleet Cat Rescue have announced.

CatFest, on Saturday 5 September, will be at Caenwood Close, Weybridge, and promises an exciting family day out. Entry is free.

Nicola Tait, founder and chair of Byfleet Cat Rescue, said: "We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Peter Egan to Byfleet Cat Rescue.

“His dedication to animal welfare is well known and we are incredibly grateful that he has chosen to support our charity and recognise us as a trusted rescue making a real difference to cats in need. It is a huge honour to have him open CatFest.

“CatFest will bring together cat lovers, families and animal welfare supporters for what promises a fantastic day celebrating all things feline.”
