AT SURREY County Council’s full meeting on 20 March Parties came together to support critical issues. I have never seen a council meeting that was so united and just shows what can be achieved by working together.
There was unanimous support for my amended motion to work towards phasing out single-use plastic containers. Councillor after councillor spoke in support and I will work with officers, members and Surrey’s boroughs to develop a strategy to deliver the phasing out of single-use plastics.
