BROOKLANDS Museum has won the prestigious Museums and Heritage Award for Permanent Exhibition, against competition from the Science Museum Group and Natural History Museum.
The accolade was for the Brooklands Aircraft Factory and Flight Shed, a £8.4million project that involved dismantling, restoring and relocating a Grade 2 listed Second World War Bellman Hangar and reinterpreting it inside as an aircraft factory.
