BYFLEET buzzed during the village’s annual Christmas bash as the community came together to celebrate.

With tunes, treats and trinkets the fayre was a roaring success, and launched the festive season into full flow. From the moment one entered into Byfleet’s festivities, there was an overwhelming jubilant energy that left every teenager, and adult feeling like a rhapsodic child once again.

The magic of Christmas that has filled every youngster with the purest of joys could be found again within everyone as old friends and families joined in with the joy of the season.

With a selection of musical delicacies, such as the handbell ringers from St Mary and St Albans from Teddington, St James (Weybridge), and St Mary (Bedfont), there was never a dull moment.

The Weyward Singers, who were also featured in this extravaganza, encouraged the traditional merry spirit that drives the very essence of the season.

For those who were already planning ahead for the inevitable family get-togethers, there was a good opportunity to find unique and personal presents at the various gift and craft stalls. While most mums were probably doing just that, children jumped about in a frenzy as they discovered Father Christmas could be found in Byfleet’s very own Christmas grotto.

Leading the community into the festive season that encourages charity and happiness in people, there was something to be found for everyone.
