A LOCAL artist who works from her garden studio in Horsell has been shortlisted for a national award from thousands of hopefuls, with her work being exhibited at London’s prestigious Mall Galleries later this month.
There are £10,000 of potential prizes up for grabs for the artists, with the overall winner announced in due course.
Hannah, who lives in the village with husband Jason and their five-year-old son Henry, fits in her professional painting around family life.
She told the News & Mail: “I’m a stay at home mum doing my painting, so its a job during school hours, really.
“There is a very high standard in the exhibition and some of the artists are better known than me. I’m just thrilled to be part of the whole thing, so if I gain the public vote as well, that would be a bonus.”
Hannah, who is Chairman of the Woking Society of Arts, will be showing an artwork at the War of the Worlds exhibition at The Lightbox in March, and has a number of entries is a competition for designing Horsell Village signs.
