Television presenter Ruth Langsford joined residents and guests at Signature at Weybridge care home recently to unveil its major refurbishment.

Ruth, whose mother lives at Signature at Weybridge, said: "I have been absolutely delighted with the care that she's received here.

“It’s not just about how this place looks – and it does look wonderful – but the heart of Signature is actually the people and the wonderful team who look after our loved ones."

The event marked the completion of the £4 million refurbishment project, beginning in June 2025. After a year of extensive work, the project covers a revamp of the home’s communal spaces, bathrooms, corridors, furnishings and lighting.

Signature at Weybridge has also specifically dedicated the redesign around the care provider’s wider focus on wellbeing, following the recent launch of its dedicated wellness strategy.

The home’s memory care floor, now renamed Brooklands in honour of the nearby world-famous race circuit, has been upgraded with enlarged and newly decorated communal areas.

Combined with a reduced capacity from 43 to 36 residents, the new Brooklands dementia community is a calm, comfortable, dementia-friendly environment.

Xenos Foster, client liaison manager, Signature at Weybridge said: “We were delighted to welcome guests, residents, colleagues and members of the local community to celebrate the completion of Signature at Weybridge’s refurbishment project.

“It’s been over a year in the making, and we were so excited to share everything the home now has to offer. We’re very lucky to have such outstanding new facilities and redevelopments on offer.

“We look forward to seeing how these improvements will help our residents continue to enjoy a fulfilling quality of life in our home.”

Signature at Weybridge hopes the full investment programme will enhance residents’ comfort, independence and wellbeing and ensure residents can continue to maintain an excellent quality of life.
