‘Wear it Wild’ was created to raise vital awareness and capital to help protect precious species.

Local businesses, schools and WWF supporters paraded around Woking town centre, accompanied by a steel band and colourful carnival dancers in fierce costumes to celebrate the planet’s wildlife.

Charlotte Bagg, Events Manager at WWF-UK, said: “Friday’s parade around Woking was the perfect way to celebrate Wear it Wild with our supporters and local community.

“It was great to see our home town join forces with the rest of the UK to show us their wild side and help protect our precious species. We’re excited to see how wild Woking can be next year.”

Across the UK, thousands of individuals, schools and businesses supported the campaign, with #WearItWild reaching millions. Money raised through donations will help support WWF’s work to tackle growing threats to the natural world.

TO DONATE to Wear it Wild just go to wwf.org.uk/wild or text Wild to 70060 to pledge £5.
