Woking too hot to handle

RUGBY: WOKING’s unbeaten run continued at the top of Surrey 4 after a 47-6 win at Reigate last Saturday.

With just two league games remaining, the champions-elect are now 11 points clear of their nearest rivals Guildfordians, who have a game in hand. The two meet this Saturday in what is being dubbed as the title decider.

Having won all 13 of their previous league fixtures, Pete D-cruz’s side were right to be upbeat against a Reigate XV that they had already beaten 100-0 earlier in the season. A muddy pitch, however, made for a very slippery ball, which hampered any free-flowing rugby, but provided some entertaining passages of play.
