IT’S 60 years since Elvis Presley recorded Heartbreak Hotel – and almost 39 years since the King died! – but his popularity never seems to fade.
Tribute act The Elvis Years help keep the legend alive when the 10-year anniversary tour reaches G Live in Guildford on Friday 19 February.
It’s a concert production telling the story of Elvis through the years and features Mario Kombou, original lead of Jailhouse Rock in the West End.
The show is led by producer, musical director and Ivor Novello award-winner David Mackay, who has produced hits for Cliff Richard, Bonnie Tyler, Frankie Miller, Billy Ocean, Dusty Springfield, The Bee Gees and Eric Clapton.
Featuring rarely seen film footage, The Elvis Years feature more than 50 of the King’s greatest hits including Hound Dog, It’s Now or Never, Just Can’t Help Believing, That’s Alright Mama, The Wonder Of You, Suspicious Minds, American Trilogy, as well as lesser known tracks such as Rock A Hula Baby and Bossa Nova Baby.
