THE latest installment of the Pyrford & Wisley Flower Show was splendidly led by Flower Princess Molly Ryan on Saturday.
Ably assisted in her duties by her two attendants, Abigail Lee and Jennifer Wright, Molly took pride of place in the traditional celebrations in Coldharbour Road.
Now in their 67th year, the festivities have grown into an adored day on the calendar, with live music from Pyrford Primary and Bishop David Brown Schools, displays from the Chinese Association of Woking and, of course, bloomin’ marvellous floral displays took centre stage and captured the imagination of hundreds of guests.
MP Jonathan Lord was in town to try his hand at fairground games and browse the stalls, while Woking Mayor and Mayoress, Tony and Mary Branagan were on duty to present prize-winners with their awards.
The big winner on the day was Lynne Moore who scooped three trophies for her flower arranging mastery. Youngsters got in on the fun too, showing off their creativity in a fancy dress contest, won by Rachel Hayton-Williams.
