Surrey Police has been named among the top employers in the country for its commitment to diversity.
It was ranked 28th overall and the fourth highest force in The Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers List. The measure, run by The Excellence in Diversity Awards, looked at the promotion of all strands of diversity – including age, disability, gender, sexuality, race, faith and religion – focussing on representation at management, senior, executive and board level. Almost 100 submissions were received for this year’s list.
Gavin Stephens, Surrey Police Temporary Deputy Chief Constable, said: “We are extremely proud to have been awarded this position in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers. This ranking shows our dedication to creating a diverse workforce and we will continue to work towards maintaining an inclusive organisation that is reflective of the communities we serve.”
