THE tale of a mentally ill man who believed he was a dinosaur might not sound like a barrel of laughs – but in the hands of stand-up comic Matt Price it probably is.
He certainly got rave reviews for his show, The Maryhill Dinosaur, at this year’s Edinburgh festival; and now he’s bringing it to Guildford’s Electric Comedy Club on Sunday (November 23).
Matt builds the dinosaur story into a moving and heartfelt story about what it takes to be a man – and why sometimes a lack of confidence can be an advantage in life.
Matt, who headlines Sunday’s show, is also the co-creator of Natural Born Storytellers – a very popular storytelling night at the Camden Comedy Club in London. He will be joined at the Electric Theatre by Iszi Lawrence, Archie Maddocks, Tim O’Connor and Ben Briggs.
And an advance date for comedy fans’ diaries is Sunday, December 14 when Richard Morton will headline the Electric Comedy Club, with Frankie Williams, Jonny Emmett, Jay Cowle, Rosie Martin and Geoff Whiting also on the bill.
