Police launch appeal to help identify crooks

DETECTIVES investigating a break-in at an Old Woking newsagent’s need public help to ensure a couple of thieves meet a sticky end.

These two images, taken from CCTV footage at the Bon Bon store on High Street, depict a pair of crooks making off with a large quantity of plastic charity boxes containing cash.

The callous robbery took place at around 2.45am on May 21, but officers are no closer to identifying the thieves – hence the call for help. Investigating officer, Detective Cons-table Simon Tigg, hopes the images will prompt someone to shed some light on the investigation. He said: “We need the help of the public to find those responsible and I hope the release of CCTV images of the men we would like to speak to in connection with the robbery will encourage members of the public to come forward with information.
