SURREY POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a child pedestrian was left in a serious but stable condition following a road traffic collision.

The incident took place at 3.22pm yesterday (Thursday, May 24) on Princess Road, Maybury.

A six-year-old boy was rushed to St George’s Hospital in Tooting with head and abdominal injuries after a collision with a silver Vauxhall Corsa. The car was last seen heading towards Balmoral Drive from the Maybury Hill direction.

The road was closed at its junction with Beaufort Road. An air ambulance landed but was not used to transport the child to hospital.
