Pistols give a smokin’ show

HIP hop, dub, ska, techno, punk…Dub Pistols are all these and none at the same time.

Originally a studio-based duo, they are now a fully-fledged band and their ability to smash genres has led to remix work with the likes of Moby, Crystal Method, Limp Bizkit, Bono, Korn & Ian Brown.

HERE’S TO THE REMIX – Dub Pistols are bringing their popular sound to the Boileroom on October 2

In addition, Dub Pistols have featured guest vocalists Rodney P, Specials frontman Terry Hall, rap wünderkid TK, Sugardaddy horn-blower Tim Hutton, and scratch maestro DJ Stix.

If you need any more convincing of their pedigree, this year’s Glastonbury saw Neville Staple from The Specials join the Pistols live on stage for the encore Gangsters.

To catch this lot in a tiny club setting should be something special, so the good news is they’ll be playing at the Boileroom in Guildford on Thursday, October 2.

OTHER upcoming Boileroom shows include Fox and the Law on Saturday (September 20), Allusondrugs on Sunday (September 21), Northern Soul Night on Wednesday (September 24), Black Futures (Thursday, September 25), Mike TV (Friday, September 26) and The Subways (October 4).
