SOARING temperatures and sunshine welcomed visitors to the fifth annual South Woking Community Fun Day on Saturday at St Peter’s Rec in Old Woking.
The event featured regular favourites such as face painting, several inflatables including a bungee run, a coconut shy, sponge toss and beat the goalie. In addition, new activities for 2018 included a craft making stall for adults, bracelet making for children and even DNA testing of strawberries.
There were also some new performers; local singer Natasha Duffus-Butler as well as Rami, a Syrian drummer, who delighted the audience with their debut performances at the event. Back by popular demand were Caroline’s Classes, which take place in Old Woking Community Centre, featuring a dance performance and the ever colourful Chinese dragon dance performed by the Chinese Association of Woking.
