Local runners pound pavements for charity

WOKING runner Kenton Walker, who ran in the London Marathon last year to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society in memory of his mother, has set himself a new goal.

He is planning to have completed his 50th half marathon race by November next year, at the age of 51. Another runner seeking sponsorship is Bridgette James, who is running this year’s London Marathon on 22 April to raise money for the Woking & Sam Beare Hospices charity.
