X FACTOR finalist Lloyd Daniels will be back centre stage when the latest version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat reaches the New Victoria Theatre in Woking next week.
Taking the title role of Joseph, Lloyd was the youngest contestant in 2009’s X Factor. He reached the final five out of 250,000 entrants and performed in front of 10 million TV viewers.
Since then he has performed to sell out arenas on a 56-date X Factor tour and released his first single.
Joining him will be fellow TV talent show success, Danielle Hope, in the important role of the Narrator. She won BBC TV’s Over the Rainbow before making her professional debut as Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz at the London Palladium, before playing Eponine in Les Misérables in the West End.
Matt Lapinskas will play Pharaoh in his first musical theatre role. Famed for playing Anthony Moon in EastEnders, Matt was also runner-up in the penultimate series of Dancing on Ice.
Joseph is, of course, a colourful retelling of the biblical story about Joseph, his 11 brothers and the coat of many colours crammed with hits from the pens of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Weber – including Jacob and Sons, Close Every Door and Any Dream Will Do.
